Hey there, friends! I’m Emily Abbey, a 21-year-old exploring the vibrant streets of Toronto with my faithful companion, Moose, the cutest Chihuahua you’ll ever meet. I’m currently in my third year of the Creative Industries program, working toward my Bachelor of Arts (graduating Spring 2027). My days are a mix of school projects, big dreams, city adventures, and writing about it all right here.

I recently returned from an incredible year in Florida, where I completed two internships with The Walt Disney Company as a Cast Member. Disney taught me so much about storytelling, teamwork, leadership, and what it really means to create meaningful experiences for people. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped shape the direction I want my career to go.

Through my Creative Industries degree, I focus on brand storytelling, media, marketing, and digital design. Everything I learn in class connects back to this blog and the work I’m building. On top of my blogs, you can also check out my portfolio; I’m always creating, learning, and growing, and I only plan to keep building from here.

What started as a personal space now connects readers from over 20 countries. I share the highs, the challenges, the career steps, the travel, and the in-between moments. I believe growth isn’t always loud; sometimes it’s quiet consistency, showing up for yourself, and trusting the process. Thanks for being here and following along. 🤍

Our Story

In all the chapters of my life, the past few years has been a profound amount of growth, resilience, and unexpected twists. It all began with the bold decision to move to Florida to work at Walt Disney World, accompanied by my ever-loyal companion, Dug. He wasn't just a pet; he was my emotional support, my sidekick, and an integral part of my journey. However, fate had its own plans, and unfortunately, Dug crossed the rainbow bridge, leaving me to complete our Floridian adventure for the both of us. Returning to Canada, I settled back in to Toronto living and the routine of school. Little did I know, the best thing to ever happen to me would enter my life. Moose, a Chihuahua in terms of breed, yet with the heart the size of a moose, has profoundly reshaped the narrative of my everyday life. As I settle back into the rhythms of university and city living, Moose has become my biggest support, bringing with him a new perspective on love, companionship, and the beautiful unpredictability of life's journey. Join me as I reflect on the year that shaped me, from the sunny days in Florida to embracing life in Toronto with a new perspective, and the transformative paw prints that Dug and Moose have left on my heart.
